VR Chill Zone

  • 1. What is virtual reality (VR)?

Virtual reality (VR) is an immersive experience which allows user to dive into 3D environment. With the help of Virtual Reality technology, you will be mentally and physically bind to the virtual world.

  • 2. How Does it work?

VR user will have to wear head-mounted display (HMD) device to immerse into digital 3D environment. Most experiences will require the use of controllers in order to interact in virtual environment.

  • 3. What kind of HMD do you use?

We are still at the stage where we want to identify the best HMD in terms of best value for money to end consumer. At VRChillZone you will have access to HTC Vive Pro, Pimax 5K Plus and Valve Index.

  • 4. What are the health risks using VR?

One of the issues could be eye strain. The main cause of eye strain is wrong set up of Interpupillary Distance (IPD) when wearing HMD. All our headsets have manual option to set correct IPD to suit the user. The IPD value ranges from 58mm to 63mm (ages 8+). To minimise the eye strain, we also recommend not to exceed 1 hour of game play.

Some people may experience motion sickness in VR. The motion sickness happens when your brains receives conflict signals about movements in virtual environment by using locomotion system. Locomotion in VR is when user’s avatar is moving through the virtual environment (by walking/running or riding a vehicle) while the body is stationary. That may disturb your vertigo or the brain’s equilibrium and you start to feel nauseous. In order to mitigate this issue, we making game recommendations and gradually introduce virtual reality to our customers depending on their level of experience in VR.

  • 5. What is appropriate age to use the VR?

Our recommendation is for ages 8 and upwards. The main reason is the hardware has to fit the user (if the head is too small the headset will not stay on properly) and their ability to understand game/controllers as well as to follow instructions given by staff member. However, we had many customers age 6-7 and they truly enjoyed the experience at VRChillZone.

  • 6. Can someone play if they are pregnant?

In regards of pregnancy any activity is a unique experience. We always recommend to consult with your doctor prior participating in experience like VR.

  • 8. Will I be able to play different games?

Yes, you will be able to swich games any time throughout your play session.
